Standard

Anand has nominated me for Sunshine blogger award. Anand, thank you for nominating, it’s an honor to be nominated by a lovely and kind person like yourself. Please visit Anand’s blog here: https://blabberwockying.wordpress.com/ it will definitely enrich your life.

Here are the rules:

  1. Thank the person/people who nominated you. [ Link Back]
  2. Answer the questions from your nominators.
  3. Nominate eleven other bloggers and give them eleven questions.

Here are my answers to Anand’s questions:

  1. If you can transport yourself into one of your favourite books, where (what book world) would you go and why?

My answer might be surprising to some, but I will definitely choose Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.  It is an epic novel full of love, passion, revenge, hate, good vs evil, etc. This dark romance is a true insight to the human mind and soul where love can take many forms. I absolutely love the characters in this book, they are not your typical heroic characterless as they are selfish, cruel, and awful but there is something haunting about the characters that hypnotizes the reader. The settings are so real in this book, I felt like I was really living in the eighteen century while reading this book.

  1. If you can meet one person (real, imaginary, alive, or dead) who would it be and why? What will you do with them?

If I can meet one person, I will choose Che Guevara. Why? simply because he’s the man of my dream. We will start a revolution

  1. Do you feel you are at peace with yourself?

I believe inner peace comes with knowing you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to hide, no secrets or lies. Also I try to follow  this quote in my daily life: “There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living.”José N. Harris, MI VIDA

  1. What according to you is the cause of stress in lives of others or in yours?

In my opinion, it is financial stress as we live in consumer’ culture; financial stress can effect people’ health and relationships.

  1. What makes you feel very good?

Making others smile.

  1. What is your best memory?

I can’t choose a specific memory as I have many good memories that I cherish.

  1. Who are your source of inspiration?

My friends, my little princess and  inspirational writers can all a  be source for my inspiration. Also my search for eternal happiness by establishing inner peace within myself, keeps me motivating all the time

  1. What is the role of gratitude in your life?

Gratitude is important in my life, as it is the key for a content heart and a simple life.

  1. What are your top five favourite books of this year?

The girl who wasn’t there by Ferdinand von Schirach

Funny girl by Nick Hornby

The first bad man by Miranda July

Every fifteen minutes by Lisa Scottoline

Roger Federer

To my readers

Standard

To my readers, I wonder if you’re like me; you sit alone at night fascinated by the darkness, that’s the exact moment where my mind begins to spread its wings like an owl searching for heartbeats and eyes stirring with provocative ideas attractive as an action of flesh that ends in wakefulness. My fingers play beautiful music with my pen.  Writing has helped me to make sense in this fanatic world. There are days when I don’t know what to write, and I have to admit that there is so much to learn about writing. I’m not afraid of criticisms. I’m my own worst critic, trust me. Sometimes there is a thick cloud of confusion swarming around my mind and I can’t find the right words to write. Then negative thoughts will start whispering in my ears things like: “this is not good enough” “this is not the appropriate word” “this is not creative enough, it looks boring”, etc and I just sit staring at a blank with million questions roaming inside my mind on which is the best way to start writing this particular piece? Recently, I come to a conclusion that it is fear that is holding me back; I’m learning to start believing in myself and in my work. My advice for you is to start to give yourself some credit, don’t stop writing (there are no limitations or rules when it comes to writing), and push away all your negative feelings.

Dear readers, I just want you to read me from the pages of your hearts.

Blogging 101-Day 2: Take control of your titles and taglines

Standard

Title: Voyager of Freedom

Tagline: Tacit Heart Journey

I have always been called different, random, out of ordinary, strange, weird, and awesome person. That’s why my title fits me perfectly as I am fiercely independent and I tend to be an individualist.  I have zero tolerance for anyone or anything that compromises or jeopardizes my freedom. Life is short and I refuse to let others suck the life and soul out of me or to identify myself with the stereotypes of society. I love the following quote (it describes me perfectly as I refuse to be chained down): “Some birds are not meant to be caged; their colors are just too bright”.  There are many social rules we have to abide and I acknowledge them however I’m not afraid of breaking the rules if I found them unnecessary that’s why I try to make up my own rules rather than follow the ones other people follow.

As for my tagline, through this blog I try to write unspoken words of your soul, because that is tacit heart. I love loving, I love ideas, I love my happiness, I love my tears, I love my freedom, I love overcoming, I love my trepidations…and I love writing about these feelings.

Blogging 101-Day 1: Introducing myself

Standard

Hello, my name is Nadine. I’m pretty much random. I’ll do whatever and say whatever no matter how anyone feels about it. I tend to be really honest with people because I expect people to be honest with me. I like to explore places, and I’m most tolerant of nearly all types of music with exceptions. I like colors, nature and foreign cultures. I’m an atheist but every pure heart is my temple, mosque and church. I’m a hopeless romantic; I love flowers, poetry, sunsets and long walks on the beach. I’m chronic insomniac since I was eleven but my insomnia has helped me to boost my creativity. I’m a dreamer and a rebel; nothing makes my blood boil more than racism, injustice, inequality, and discrimination. I’m vegetarian to the core since I was eight, yes even at that early age I realized that I don’t need an animal sacrifice to eat. I’m never really sure of anything. I’m just 100% sure that nothing ever stays the same, and I embrace that. Thus why I don’t even know what my favorite songs are. (Why? Because our preferences change with life. Don’t suppress the change.) My interests vary like my moods, I’m often called strange, mysterious and interesting, and I like it.

I love to write about everything: love, society, life, religion, politics, poetry, music, feelings, etc Writing gives me daily opportunities to be alone with my thoughts. Writing is something that occupy me from thinking about how harsh and difficult life can be. Writing makes me alive as it is a way to let your soul flows onto empty paper where you transform this blank canvas into beautiful art. Writing can sometimes be used as a medium to pull us away from reality and sometimes it will inspire us to change. Hopefully, one day my writing will make a difference in this world. I decided to blog as it will help me to connect with an endless list of people who just like me love to write; and only a limited number of my friends know about this blog.
