Ain’t  it funny

That you can know someone for years

You go out with them every night

Chit chat about this and that

And tellinf few lame jokes

But despite all these years

Do they know you, the real you?

And at the same time, you can meet a total stranger only for one time

And yet this meeting may linger with you forever

Memories of days I lived, the friends I lost along the way, every mistake I ever made, rehashed and then replayed, promises that remain broken, love lost and words unspoken, nothing left except the memory of the days I lived, and loved.

That one person

Nothing beats finding that one person that you just feel comfortable enough to not have to say anything around. That one person you never have to explain yourself to, that one individual that can travel down the rabbit hole of what it is to be you, and yet they never fear what they will find in you. That one person that feels your heartbeat from a foot away & knows what you need before you even know you need it.
