“What is love”? is such perennial question. Philosophers, poets and writers , have tried to answer through out the ages, none are able to tell us lesser mortals the answer. It could be the quest of the soul has it journeys through this instrument our mortal body to find perfectness, contentment , ecstasy, euphoria, heaven, utopia, we will never know. We will keep on searching and speculating.
Oh tell me about it!! I’m Lebanese, in my country the majority don’t read. I live in superficial society all they care about is raging political wars over Twitter, Botox, taking selfies…Reading is “uncool” and outdated for them
Ah from Egypt “Oum el douniya” ❤ yeah unfortunately people here don't read, and if they do, it is mostly horoscope and cooking books. People here give you weird look if you say you enjoy reading.
One of problems as well being a bibliophile in Lebanon is that books are expensive and many not available sometimes (I'm not talking about bestsellers these books are always available here)
Maybe, it’s hard to define or give an accurate definition of love, everyone has a different opinion or perspective about it. What about you how do you view love?
You can find out plenty about that in my “STRINGY THEORIES …” tag cloud entry “Love”. Interestingly it nestles cosily between “Loss” and “Madness”. 😀 Here’s the link: https://bennaga.wordpress.com/tag/love/ There’s probably a good hour’s worth of reading there if you have the time and patience. 🙂
Some years ago I wrote a poem for entry into a poetry competition. The theme of the competition was love.
It is great.
