Sometimes just sometimes there is something
That keeps us from moving forward
It’s like a chapter in a book
You want to go on but
There’s something that needs read again
Sometimes in life there’s something past
That can’t be carried to the future
And yet it has such bearing
It must be taken care of
So while the shoes point forward
I must go visit the past

Memories of days I lived, the friends I lost along the way, every mistake I ever made, rehashed and then replayed, promises that remain broken, love lost and words unspoken, nothing left except the memory of the days I lived, and loved.
