Quote of the Week

Standard

The useless days will add up to something. The shitty waitressing jobs. The hours writing in your journal. The long meandering walks. The hours reading poetry and story collections and novels and dead people’s diaries and wondering about sex and God and whether you should shave under your arms or not. These things are your becoming.-Cheryl Strayed

Quote of the Week

I wish people enjoy poetry as much as hypocrisy. I wish they create art rather than wars. I wish they discuss atoms, aliens, sex, science, music instead of rating each other by ethnicity, religion and nationality. I wish they had a twisted mind who speak with emotion and kindness, not with hate and blindness.

“It’s a truly beautiful thing when you find someone who wants to fall in love with your mind. Someone that wants to undress your conscience & make love to your thoughts. Someone who is patiently willing to work their way over the walls you have meticulously spent a lifetime building. Sapiosexuals despise small talk. They want to talk about death, life on other planets, religion, sex, your flaws, politics, atoms, favorite scents, your childhood, the lies you have told, what keeps you up at night, goals, insecurities, what makes you laugh uncontrollably, the meaning of life; the list just goes on. We want someone who not only respects our differences, but doesn’t fear the challenges of us. Someone with depth & drive. Someone who is obsessively curious about learning every intimate detail about us & feels fortunate that they get the rare opportunity to see a side of us that others could only wish for. We don’t want, nor need, someone who only wants to know ‘what’s up’, or thinks ‘wyd’ is sufficient effort to tear down sturdy walls & undo an entire existence of disappointments & shallow encounters. For us, mental stimulation supersedes physical. Arousal comes not from the body, but from the intellectual soul.”-Unknown Author

Quote of the Week

“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.” Frida Kahlo

Quote of the week

“I am awfully greedy; I want everything from life. I want to be a woman and to be a man, to have many friends and to have loneliness, to work much and write good books, to travel and enjoy myself, to be selfish and to be unselfish… You see, it is difficult to get all which I want. And then when I do not succeed I get mad with anger”. Simone de Beauvoir

Quote of the Week

Do not fall in love with people like me.
I will take you to museums, and parks, and monuments, and kiss you in every beautiful place, so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth.
I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible. And when I leave you will finally understand, why storms are named after people.

Beauty is not long hair, skinny legs, tanned skin or perfect teeth. Believe me.
Beauty is the face of who cried and now smiles, beauty is the scar on your knee since you fell when you were a kid, beauty is the circles when love doesn’t let you sleep, beauty is the expression on the face when the alarm rings in the morning, it’s the melted makeup when you have a shower, it’s the laughter when you make a joke you’re the only one who can understand, beauty is meeting his gaze and stopping understanding, beauty is your gaze when you see him, it’s when you cry for all your paranoias, beauty is the lines marked by time.
Beauty is what we feel in the inside which also shows outside us. Beauty is the marks the life leaves on us, all the kicks and the caresses the memories leave us.

Beauty is letting yourself live. -Emma Watson

“Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people; before you tell me how much you love your God, show me in how much you love all his children; before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors. In the end, I’m not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as I am in how you choose to live and give.” Cory Booker
