Seek the Truth

It is important, to tell the truth to yourself first before speaking it to someone else. Often it is easier to see something in someone else and not realize that you are that as well. So, first look at yourself and speak the truth to yourself before you speak it to another. When you speak the truth to yourself, it cuts like a knife; it hurts because you are seeing the truth of yourself, and sometimes it is not so pretty. You may even deny it. Everyone has the lowest opinion of themselves, and that is what they want to hide. Once you open that door of speaking truth with yourself, you discover the true ecstasy of being free, and you can see more clearly. Then when you look at someone else and speak the truth with them, it doesn’t include any attachments because you have cleared it in yourself first. That is where trust is, that place you have cleared yourself; and when you trust yourself, you can see another person clearly.

Sometimes (Visiting the Past)

Sometimes just sometimes there is something
That keeps us from moving forward
It’s like a chapter in a book
You want to go on but
There’s something that needs read again
Sometimes in life there’s something past
That can’t be carried to the future
And yet it has such bearing
It must be taken care of
So while the shoes point forward
I must go visit the past

Power of Words

The effect that words can have on us is incredible. They can inform, intimidate,

persuade, hurt or ease the pain, end war or start one and cause thousands or even

millions of people to die. We have built a wall of words around ourselves, and we

have become trapped within those walls. Words can carry us to the heights of

discovery or take us into the realm of negativity. This is the energy of words and the

thoughts that precede them. We need to use words to speak the truth in each

experience of our life, lies destroy life, the truth is the energy of life.words

Have you ever felt
Not at one with the day?
That the sun is monotony
And blue skies ever grey?

The sun on its pedestal
Has no warmth in its aura,
Making banshees of us
And defacing the flora.

But as the yellow orb sets
Sacrificing its light,
A portal is opened
For the realm of the night.

The pale-faced moon,
Outshining its brother,
Infuses an aura
Unlike any other.

In the sapphire void
The stars come to dance.
The brightest are seen
By gazing askance.

In the deafening silence
The world is alive.
The night and myself
Are like bees to the hive.

I feel I am free;
For these hours I am Queen.
My kingdom by day
Is shadow and unseen.

I call me nocturnal
And the night be my realm;
A silent dark ship
With myself at the helm.

Tonight the moon
Is a radiant sight.
What wonders by day
Could compare to the night?

The Little things that matter

You know about one of those random people and their acts that just make your day? Something like that happened to me. Yesterday I was in the store trying to choose between two identical products, but I really was just standing there lost in my thoughts blocking the entire aisles. This old man trying to come through stopped to say hi, and made his way between my cart, my thoughts, and I.
I don’t know how much time elapsed, but he eventually came back through the aisle were I was still standing staring at the same items… Or at life.
He asked me if I was deciding, and somehow he woke me up. I tried to answer but I couldn’t get a word out. Just nodded my head in half a smile. I must have been carrying the misery of the world on my face because he stood there with me for a minute and gave me a warm smile that translated to me as : “Everything will be ok child”. He dug in his pocket and handed me a handful of candy… (I am grown enough to accept candy from stranger.)
He brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart.

What made me happy is that, at times when you think that everything is going bad and nothing good is left in the world, you see these little acts of kindness and a little faith in humanity is restored.

One simple act of kindness or humanity could mean the world to somebody

Blogging 101-Day 1: Introducing myself

Hello, my name is Nadine. I’m pretty much random. I’ll do whatever and say whatever no matter how anyone feels about it. I tend to be really honest with people because I expect people to be honest with me. I like to explore places, and I’m most tolerant of nearly all types of music with exceptions. I like colors, nature and foreign cultures. I’m an atheist but every pure heart is my temple, mosque and church. I’m a hopeless romantic; I love flowers, poetry, sunsets and long walks on the beach. I’m chronic insomniac since I was eleven but my insomnia has helped me to boost my creativity. I’m a dreamer and a rebel; nothing makes my blood boil more than racism, injustice, inequality, and discrimination. I’m vegetarian to the core since I was eight, yes even at that early age I realized that I don’t need an animal sacrifice to eat. I’m never really sure of anything. I’m just 100% sure that nothing ever stays the same, and I embrace that. Thus why I don’t even know what my favorite songs are. (Why? Because our preferences change with life. Don’t suppress the change.) My interests vary like my moods, I’m often called strange, mysterious and interesting, and I like it.

I love to write about everything: love, society, life, religion, politics, poetry, music, feelings, etc Writing gives me daily opportunities to be alone with my thoughts. Writing is something that occupy me from thinking about how harsh and difficult life can be. Writing makes me alive as it is a way to let your soul flows onto empty paper where you transform this blank canvas into beautiful art. Writing can sometimes be used as a medium to pull us away from reality and sometimes it will inspire us to change. Hopefully, one day my writing will make a difference in this world. I decided to blog as it will help me to connect with an endless list of people who just like me love to write; and only a limited number of my friends know about this blog.
